About Us

Our Story

Arizona House of Rags is a small closed cattery located 40 minutes west of Phoenix International Airport on 2 acres of country living. Our "Rags" are raised underfoot with a variety of other animals. Rest assured, when they arrive at their forever home they are well socialized

My name is Kathleen Nickeson I have been working with animals in one way or another, since I was a small girl. I had helped my parents breed, welp, and raise Siberian Huskey's, also hand raised puppies, kittens, domestic and wild birds. I was really never without a "project". The most special ones  for me were the ones that stayed from minutes olds to the time it came for them to pass on to "Rainbow Bridge".

The next chapter of my life  began after my children moved on to have children of their own, I have been given the best gift anyone could  have  of asked for, the opportunity to follow my heart. You

see, when I was a little girl I always wanted that big floppy cat that could be dressed up, pushed in a doll buggy, and of course drug around under my arm like a big comforting "doll" low and behold the perfect name for the perfect cat...the big floppy "Ragdoll Cat".
